For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.

I recently had the opportunity to visit the prestigious Princeton University while working in the area. This is where Albert Einstein imparted his wealth of knowledge to college students and the world at large. Men and women of high esteem are honored all over the world due to their outstanding academic prowess along with major important discoveries. There is no end to these discoveries as God has hidden treasures all over this wonderful universe He masterfully created.
As I reflected on this, I couldn’t help but think of the final scripture in the book of John. “Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.” – John 21:25 – Now that’s a lot of miracles, signs, wonders and works of goodwill. His works have been scrutinized for thousands of years and been found to be true and infallible or at best undeniable and unexplainable.

There is no end to these discoveries as God has hidden treasures all over this wonderful universe He masterfully created.
Many philosophers battle over the misconception of the meaning of life. Their perspectives are shaped, for the most part, by one sided views and vain attempts to explain God’s creation in human terms. I am not a scientist and therefore I do not claim to understand the laws of nature. What I do know is this simple truth – any force un-equaled in opposition, overpowers all other forces.
To further complicate things, in our social state, are also our burning passions and desires to acquire, earn and achieve more and more of material wealth and greatness. In reality, it is impossible for such a state to maintain itself since it is impossible for men to live together and in peace when such untamed competition exists among them.
Thus the equal and opposing force that maintains the equilibrium of our lives is religion. Faith allows one to serve without asking anything back. Faith allows one to give without asking anything back. Faith allows one to see beyond the natural materialist world and into the supernatural, spiritual realm and thus live for more than the here and now. Faith tells us that it’s ok not to acquire everything in this life for there’s more and better to come. Faith is a reality and a man’s life is futile without it.

Thus the unequal and opposing force that overpowers all other forces in our lives is God.
Endless is the sea of desperation and wrong pursuits devoid of faith. Dark is the hole of mental obscurity devoid of spiritual assuredness. Empty is a life devoid of Christ. Empty is a society devoid of Christ. Dead is a nation devoid of Christ. For in Him is the way to the fulfillment of not only the natural pursuits but also of the spiritual. In Him is the fullness of life.
I value education, knowledge and the pursuit of more and more discoveries. I support and promote those who seek to make our lives here better, more efficient and more fulfilling. I believe they’re playing their part in fulfilling God’s command to Adam to “subdue the earth” (Genesis 1:28).
My hope and prayer is that they also spend time laying up treasure in heaven, preparing for their eternal home.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
