Greater Faith…

Your faith must be greater than your process. When you hear the Word of God and His divine promises over your life, it releases faith to see beyond your process and into the promises of God. Faith beyond process is true faith.

“Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of the Lord” (Romans 10:17) so we must be constantly reminded of the Word of God over our lives and live off of that. I have to believe beyond my current circumstances. I have to see all that the future holds and access the grace of God for my life and the lives of those around me, starting with my family.

“…When the Son of man comes, will He find faith?” (Luke 18:8) – He is searching and scouring the earth for such great faith that can move all the mountains, erase all fears, dispute all demonic activity, and destroy every power and principality. Seeing beyond our today requires faith. Seeing beyond our process requires faith that is greater than our basic, daily thinking.

I’d rather pursue the adventure in God than live a reserved life of no risky pursuits, in God. Wouldn’t you?

It is not an easy walk. It is not a comfortable walk either. When I look at the book of Hebrews and the heroes of our faith, I find a single, significant strain…suffering. A lifelong faith entails suffering and intense travail. It even involved death in some situations. Faith involves some suffering, lots of uncertainty, many winding roads, and immeasurable jubilation in the end! When we reach the end of the road, we celebrate and count it all joy then begin the next leg of the journey.

How much faith do I need? I believe enough to fulfill the will of God. Enough to serve my generation. Enough to pass down the baton to the next generation. Enough to see God glorified and magnified in every way possible.

Your faith must be greater than your process.

I’ll go a step further and say, you need enough faith to believe God for seemingly impossible things. Faith ought to be a journey and adventure in God. You seek and ask God for the impossible then wait and see what the Lord might do. I enjoy the adventure and constantly maintain trust in God to do the impossible.

Childlike faith does not make you a child, it makes you a giant size hero in the eyes of God. Faith that can move mountains is also faith that can heal the sick, save the lost, remove the darkness, and restore hope for all humanity. It is no wonder the Word of the Lord says “Without faith it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6).

I’d rather live a life of strong faith than one of no faith however pragmatic and seemingly successful I may be. I’d rather pursue the adventure in God than live a reserved life of no risky pursuits, in God. Wouldn’t you? I’m not talking about foolish pursuits or reckless living. I’m talking about a life of faith, substance of things hoped for – meaning they’re rooted in the Word of God, the evidence of things not yet seen – meaning there’s a substantial force and reason for the possibility of seeing these things come to pass.

I’m looking forward to the rest of the journey. I want to live a life of faith! It’s already cost me and will cost me even more in the future, but it’s worth every minute of it.

I have a passion for all things Christ. I am in the world and not of the world and so I engage in political and social discussions as they cross my path. Can we resolve the pressing issues of society using the word of God and His power? I think yes!
