My siblings and parents are all part of a Whatsapp group. We use it to share updates on our lives and discuss upcoming events. The most important part of this group is the daily word. I have a brother who faithfully shares short daily messages from his pastor’s podcast. Each month, one of us shares the daily word so we can stay encouraged, get convicted, and grow into the fullness of Christ, who is the Head over all of us.
This month is one of my sisters’ month. Earlier this week, she shared an encouraging message that I thought I ought to blog about!

Here it goes…(original source unknown; anecdotes all mine)
1. Never again will I confess “I can’t” for “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13). – Simple yet profound. In Christ I can do ALL things, outside of Christ, I can do NOTHING!
2. Never again will I confess lack, for “My God shall supply all of my needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19). – He has it all, owns it all, and desires to share it all with me. Why would I turn to anyone or anything else?
3. Never again will I confess fear, for “God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). – Fear boils down to simply being the absence of faith. More faith means less fear and Holy Spirit can give me ever increasing faith.
4. Never again will I confess doubt and lack of faith, for “God has dealt to every man THE measure of faith (Romans 12:3). – I must grow from ‘faith to faith and glory to glory’ for the Lord has empowered me to do so.
5. Never again will I confess weakness, for “The people that know their God shall be strong and do mighty exploits (Daniel 11:32). – I am empowered by the grace of God and my strength comes from Him. Even in my weakness I am made strong.
6. Never again will I confess supremacy of Satan over my life, for “Greater is He that is within me than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4). – Satan is powerless in the face of a believer who knows their God. The authority satan has over our lives is only that which we give him. Otherwise, he’s ALREADY been defeated!
7. Never again will I confess defeat, for “God always causes me to triumph in Christ Jesus” (2 Corinthians 2:14). – We’re defeated when we believe in lies and deception. We triumph when we believe in the truth of the Word of God.
8. Never again will I confess lack of wisdom, for “Christ Jesus is made unto me wisdom from God (1Corinthians 1:30). – Wisdom is a believer’s friend. I believe it is the one thing that helps us be ‘in the world and not of the world’
9. Never again will I confess sickness, for “By His stripes I am healed” (Isaiah 53:5). – This is a tough one because we face many sicknesses regularly but even though we lose some battles and win some, the truth remains…He took it all away and it’s not of God.
10. Never again will I confess worries and frustrations, for I am “Casting all my cares upon Him, who cares for me” (1 Peter 5:7). In Christ I am “care- free.” – Worry leads to apathy because it produces no results yet trust in God releases His divine mercy and produces lasting fruit.
11. Never again will I confess bondage, for “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” (2 Corinthians 3:17). – My freedom flows from my knowledge of Christ. He sets me free from being a slave to any sin and the carnal nature that lives in me.
12. Never again will I confess condemnation, for “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1). – A true understanding of sonship produces conviction in a believer while lack of it produces condemnation.
13. Never again will I confess loneliness, Jesus said, “Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. (Matthew 28:20). “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” (Hebrews 13:5). – I may be alone but never lonely.
14. Never again will I confess curses or bad luck, for “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. (Galatians 3:13). – No curse can affect the one who has been redeemed by the blood of Jesus. It is only the curse we confess that becomes a reality.
The confession of our mouths will eventually bring forth the things we speak. Since we’re created in the image of God, we have the ability to create a reality based on what we speak. Speak truth to yourself, then to others.
