We ought to always be found in awe and in utter reverence when we come face to face with a Holy God. There’s a light that shines brightly in a person’s heart that cannot be turned off, a transformed life that’s generated as a result that cannot be reversed, and a forward motion, supported by speech, that cannot be reversed.
Scripture says “In Him we live and move and have our being…” (Acts 17:28). In Him we find our source of life, our source of restoration, our source of revelation, inspiration, and fortitude. In view of all this, the following scripture passage comes to mind…

“But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them” (2 Cor. 4:3-4).
Our authority flows from the grace of God running through our veins and causing us to see the light of Christ revealed. Such a powerful light cannot be ignored. Those whose minds are illuminated by the power of the Holy Spirit and by reason of use will easily see the power and revelation of the Holy Spirit. Those who do not see beyond the veil are simply blinded by their own state of being. They’re blinded by their own lack of sight due to giving themselves to the god of this age or never having encountered Jesus in the first place.

“For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake” (2 Cor. 4:5).
Anyone who preaches themselves may draw many to themselves but never to Christ. It causes their followers to be enamored by things that will not last. Men will fail but Christ never will. Men will make mistakes but Christ never will. Men will suffer a certain end but Christ never will. Those who preach Christ, on the other hand, will always draw many to Christ as the Head of the church and spare them the darkness and confusion of the former things.

“For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” (2 Cor. 4:6).
We cannot stress this more than we are for we know the way, the truth, and the life is only found in Him. We’re compelled to preach only His name and nothing else. The Apostle Paul spent his days explaining his encounter with Jesus as the beginning of his new life. He had been redeemed, restored, and set on a different path and spent the rest of his life speaking of the light he saw. Here he calls it “…the light of the knowledge of the glory of God…” There’s a light that shines on people when they encounter Jesus Christ and it is undeniable, difficult to conceal.
Our encounters with Jesus Christ produce such a contrast in us that who we were before becomes a stark contrast to who we are afterwards. This turn and spin is never a coincidence and can never be concealed…except to those who are perishing. After all, their minds are veiled by darkness. Our prayer ought to be that God would give us the grace and insight to penetrate through that veil, pierce through the darkness, and let our words, our convictions, and our message of Christ be heard.
The same light we saw that so changed us is the same light that we desire that all should see.
